Mother's Day for me

This only being my second mother's day, I'm still getting used to all the attention.
We had early church, but James made me a HUGE brunch (which I wish I could say didnt eat it all), made me a beautiful card, and got me pretty flowers.

I love being recognized for everything I do every day as a mother.

Jackson really is a blessing and I cant be thankful enough for having him in our lives!

Happy 2010!

Happy 2010!
New Year's Eve was spent with my family,
as we danced and board gamed our night away.
I hadn't danced since I became pregnant
and I did not know how to control my body on the dance floor.
So after a daddy-daughter dance, I hung up my dancing hat for the night.
I can't wait to see what 2010 brings for us,
but we are excited that its here!
*Resolutions are soon to come!

Happy New Years!

I've been reflecting on this past year and everything that it has brought and I have come to the conclusion that I am greatly blessed. I am mostly thankful for the security we have had through this challenging year with a roof over our heads, great jobs, and family to support us through it all.
But even though I am thankful beyond measure, I cannot wait to see what 2010 has in store for us with the new adventures and blessings that a new little human being will bring into our lives.

Here's to a new year!

NY BABY!!

I met these ladies almost 5 years ago and
they've become 2 of my best friends.
In a few hours, I'll be NY bound with them.
We plan on shopping until we drop.
Spooning.
Eating outrageous amounts of food.
and causing scenes.

Please pray I come back in one piece.
For the baby's sake.
And James.

YAY

Christmas is here and so are my fuzzy-picture-taking skills.

Thanksgiving Weekend

I ate so much I must have gained a minimum of 5 pounds.
I got a bad virus and am just barely getting my voice back.
I layed motionless in bed for a good 3/4 of my time off
and
I made curtains with my mom.

But it was great.
And I still have left overs.

Thanksgiving

Since it's Thanksgiving week, I saw it appropriate to share with you a couple of things I am really thankful for.
James and everything that he brings into our family
A beautiful healthy baby growing inside of me
My mom and her friendship
my dad and his sense of humor
My brother Jorge and his beautiful family
My brother Daniel and his sense of adventure
My in-laws and the love they have shown me
Material things that make life a little easier
Food on our table every night
A beautiful house to call home
a job during this tough economy

But most of all,
I am thankful because we are becoming a family of three.
And three is always funner than two.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Have a wonderful time with your families!

Halloween Happenings.

Nothing beats a good Halloween filled with
handing out candy (to 2 trick or treaters!!)
pumpkin carving,
caramel apples,
obscene white chocolate ghosts
and a nasty costume.

Hope your Halloween was fun!

Happy Hallow's Eve!

I keep wondering why people keep staring...
and then I remembere I chose to wear a pink wig today.
And then it all makes sense again.

A little girl looked at me today, asked why I had pink hair,
and when I told her because it was fun,
she looked at me like she was the adult
and I the immature child.

It was great.

Tonight we have a family halloween party
and James and I decided to dress up as the most
disgusting pair of people.
I'll post pictures on Monday,
but thought I'd keep you in suspense until then.

It's pretty funny how you get married
and cute and sexy costumes
go out the window with your singleness.

Happy Halloween!

P.S.

We also welcomed this little gem on America's Day.

Brynlee Marlene Dymock.

7 lbs 2 oz.

19 inches long.

I was assured she liked me. She cried all morning and

then I held her and there was nothing but coos being made by her.

She must already know who I am; Aunt Jess.

*She made me all gooey inside*

Festivities

This 4th of July we:
1. lounged around feeling the sunshine after eating
more than our stomachs could handle.
2. Spun little kids to death.
3. Played with fire works on our street.
4. Cuddled with babies

5. and one of us even learned how self-portraits work.

Overall, couldn't have asked for anything better.
How was your fourth of July?
