Complimentary colors

Cardi: Salt Lake Market
Dress: Thrifted
Belt: Thrifted
Shoes: Nine West

I bought this dress a couple of weeks ago on an outing with my mom.
After a couple of little changes with the sewing machine, it turned out to be the perfect little dress for Easter.
At the last minute I paired it up with this cardigan. Seemed like an odd (though complimentary) combination but really loved the end product.

Sunny Sunday

Sunday I let the mane out.

I don't usually take advantage of my curls but when you have thirty minutes to get 3 people ready, you take what you can get.

I had a little fun with pattern in this outfit. The skirt is a very small plaid but it seemed to work well with the floral. I really loved it!

And sorry for the quality of these pictures. My husband was yelling, "work it!" and it seems we didn't get one picture that wasn't a little blurry from all the laughing.

P.S. I don't know what to do with my face when I take a close up picture of it. So yeah.

Cardigan-Old Navy

Floral blouse- F21

Skirt- Banana Republic

Shoes- Nine West

I didnt make it to church today.

I'm in love.

Jacket- Old Navy

Fancy Shmancy Saturday

My mom is RS president.
They planned a big "gala" night for the ladies Saturday night and needed my photographing assistance. (because I'm so good and stuff. not.)
I had to show up dressy but not as much as the other ladies.
So I finally got the chance to pull out this skirt (!).
It's kind of shiny and inappropriate for most day events.
and most nights I have a little throw up on my right shoulder.
So here goes to 2 years of waiting to get you out on the town.

Sweater- Tj Maxx
Necklace- from China (like they bought it there), gifted
Skirt- Banana Republic
tights- target
peep-toe booties- Dollhouse via TJ

If TJ were a person, I'd totally make out with it.

Sunday Best

Hello lovelies.
I skipped last Sunday mostly because I spent the day in sweats, wiping Jackson's boogers.
I know, it's a dream around here.
Booger is a funny word. It took me like ten times to type it right.

But we made it to church this Sunday and this is what I wore.

Shirt: Ross
Belt: thrifted
Skirt: thrifted
Shoes: Nine West

How beautiful was the weather yesterday anyway?

Sunday Morning Fashion Show

What a week its been.
It has been fun and stressful, but at least it was short.
I took Jackson to the zoo for the first time,
(the pictures of Jackson at the zoo somehow got ERASED, so I'll have to take him again and redo our first trip to the zoo since I have none for memory's sake...sad)
James took me out on a long date,
I got offered a job,
I declined it,
I lost things,
I lost money,
and I lost my patience more than once.

Anyway, here's what I wore.
Except I'm lying because I changed my mind last minute and wore a dress and put my hair up but by then there wasnt enough time to take a picture.
So maybe I'll wear this next week.

cropped cardigan: TJ Maxx
Skirt: thrifted
Shoes: Ross
Everything is old so I don't know the prices but it all has to total less than $30 for sure.

Sunday Morning Fashion Show

I don't buy it if it's not on sale.
I had that seed planted in me while I was still very little by my mother and I love her for that.
Why pay full price for something you can buy a few weeks later for half off?

So in an effort to show you both my findings and my style, I have decided to do a new post every week of what I wore on Sunday.
These are not new findings necessarily, just what's in my closet.

I've seen this little idea in other blogs and have loved seeing what people wear and how they put things together. So don't make fun of me for not knowing how to pose or what to do with my hands or face.

Sundays are sometimes the only days I put on some makeup and try something other than jeans or sweatpants on, so...this is both for you to see the deals I have found AND for me to maybe get on the ball and look less like Liz Lemon after her break-up with Carol.
I swear I saw a fanny pack the other day and concidered the positives.

What I wore:

Shirt- Ross $7
Skirt- Target $10
Tights- Tj Maxx $4
Shoes- Charlotte Russe $10

Total: $31
