Random Saturday

I had the most amazing, life changing piece of bread of my life.
Artichoke asiago pesto bread from Great Harvest.
I went it, stole a sample and didnt buy a thing.
I could die today and feel like I've lived after tasting it.

I'm never again buying boots at the beginning of the season.
I went to the mall yesterday and found $200 boots for $30.
And we are now a happy family.

I cant wait one more minute for spring to stay here for good.
Jackson has for the most part been the healthiest kid this winter,
but lately he's been on a cold run.
And I can't sleep if he's sick.
Is that just me?

The forecast called for rain today but its sunny as all get out outside.
Daybreak lake walk?
why yes, thank you!

My house needs spring cleaning.
But I don't do well at cleaning one thing at a time.
I have no patience.
Cleaning house = one day or I freak.
So we just have a messy house instead.
yay.

Lessons Learned in 2009

New Year resolutions are achievable most of the time.
Diet is never the answer: exercise is.
The kitchen is the place to make traditions.
The best dates are achived on the couch while cuddling.
Having role models will get you where you want to go.
SUV's are the greatests.
Allow yourself to eat what you want. Worry about it later.
Vacations are necessary for your well being.
Drinking water really does make a difference.
A clean house makes for a happy marriage.
Making friends only gets harder with age.
It takes not something awful, but something great to happen to you to realize who your real friends are.

Gardening is not for everyone.
Your husband is your real best friend.
You only learn by making your own mistakes.
When you find yourself too comfortable, you should take on something new.
You never grow out of procrastination.
The longer you spend with someone the more you learn to love their imperfections.
People do change, but only if they want to.
Give into cravings every time you get; everything tastes so much better that way.
Motherhood is the scariest thing I have ever encountered.
The body is the greatest work of art.
Things change and people do too. And that is okay.
At the end of the day, money is just money.
Happiness is found inside the walls of your home.
Love is something you have to work at every day.

Life Lesson of the Day

Got back from New York last night.
It was so fun.
It's a city full of life.
I walked so much I pulled something on my leg.
And every night we would get back to the apartment,
I wanted to cry from the pain.
But I toughed it up.

Life Lesson: Wait until you are no longer pregnant to go to NY.

Later on, I might write a post on Things Noticed While on Vacation and Pregnant.
Maybe.

It's bad and you and I know it.

When we go to redbox and there is nothing decent to watch,
James will usually let me choose
the most horrible movie I can find.
We always get really excited,
thinking that it will be so good because it's SO bad,
and after losing 50% of our brain cells
and suffering through atrocious special effects,
we realize we were yet again wrong.

Life Lesson: If it looks bad, it usually is bad.

Pathetic cannot begin to describe it.

Last night, I had to spend the night without James.
It was scary and I almost didn't make it.
Then I got a genious idea:
make a James out of pillows and a shirt he left on our bed.

I fell asleep seconds later.

Life Lesson: Never sleep without him again,
or make sure to have materials to make a fake James.
Then, don't tell people because they may think you're pathetic.

This is what happens when I think with my belly instead of my head

True Story

I had been craving this recipe.
At the botton it said it would cook in 20 minutes.
I was hungry, I didn't read anything else.

Long story short, we ended up eating at 10.
but the recipe was delicious.
And maybe if i had read the instructions,
I would have planned for a lengthier process.

Anyway, tomorrow I will post the recipe.
And you MUST try.
Specially if you're in the mood of using lots of fresh veggies.
But don't make it if you're planning on 20 minutes.
Your husband will die of hunger,
And you will feel really bad at his funeral.

Life Lesson Learned: Do not trust my instincts.
Read books instead.
