FHE

One of our New Year's Resolutions (as a family) was to have FHE.

To actually set apart a day,

talk about something spiritual,

and spend time together.

James talked about gratitude.

And how we need to slow down and be thankful for what's right in front of us.

I love family home evening.

We also played a game.
Have any of you played this?? We got it from Christmas and it's addicting!
I am a natural.
I hated it at the very beginning but for some odd reason can't stop winning.
James is a sore loser and I just enjoy his pain too much, so we play it all the time.
But now he's getting better and he keeps beating me.
Dang it.

James

There are days that seem a lot harder than others.

and in those days, you would think I was possesed by the devil.

All I do is complain.

And cry.

and whine.

But then theres this one guy,

who makes me tell him everything that bugged me that day,

and together we find solutions.

And once I have complained about everything that is wrong with the world,

he rubs my back.

and he gets us dinner so I don't have to make it.

and rents a movie so I will laugh.

and tells me I'm beautiful, when I'm wearing a snuggie.

And suddenly I realize that my day wasn't that bad.

and as long as I have him there at the end of the day,

I'm pretty sure I'll be able to make it.

And then being 8 months pregnant with this man's baby

doesnt seem so bad after all.

The Bachelor

I'm a huge sucker for this show.

This season started this Monday

and brought really horrible boob jobs,

an abundance of trashy dresses,

and a couple of nut cases with it.

So...just so you know...

I'll be busy Monday nights until this show is over.

Busy in my Snuggie, cuddling with James,

while we stuff ourselves with bad food,

and criticize women with attitudes and too much make up.

And you know what?

I couldn't ask for anything better.

NY BABY!!

I met these ladies almost 5 years ago and

they've become 2 of my best friends.

In a few hours, I'll be NY bound with them.

We plan on shopping until we drop.

Spooning.

Eating outrageous amounts of food.

and causing scenes.

Please pray I come back in one piece.

For the baby's sake.

And James.

Tamalada

This weekend I was invited to a Tamalada.

As you see from the pictures, it is a party

where you learn to make a ton of tamales

and then stuff your face with them.

and chips and guac.

and beans and rice.

Obviously, I went. and ate. and ate. and ate.

Last time I attempted anything like this,

was about 8 years ago with the same family.

I'm so happy to still know them.

The baby likes tamales.

New Moon

We went to New Moon last night.

We had tickets for the 6 pm showing.

Because we're special.

And though there was cheese to last for the next few years,

I did enjoy looking at a 16 year old without his shirt on

and thinking he was hot.

Don't judge me.

This weekend we...

Ate Sweet Tomatoes while I drooled all over myself.
Went to a dollar movie and wasted a dollar.
Deep cleaned my house and stared at it for hours, smiling.
Satisfied my craving while we played with my family.
Went to a Jazz game, and decided there to root for the Kings.
Slept through a movie while our friends watched it.
Said goodbye to our primary class while I cried and they ate lollipops.
Had dinner with family, and served ourselves seconds.

I don't have pictures to prove it,
but it was good.

Just not as good as this weekend will be...
when we find out who our baby is.
and we eat cake with our family.
And maybe even get some baby registering in.

But good nonetheless.

Happy Hallow's Eve!

I keep wondering why people keep staring...

and then I remembere I chose to wear a pink wig today.

And then it all makes sense again.

A little girl looked at me today, asked why I had pink hair,

and when I told her because it was fun,

she looked at me like she was the adult
and I the immature child.

It was great.

Tonight we have a family halloween party

and James and I decided to dress up as the most

disgusting pair of people.

I'll post pictures on Monday,

but thought I'd keep you in suspense until then.

It's pretty funny how you get married

and cute and sexy costumes

go out the window with your singleness.

A Good Week

Tomorrow I get to see the bean.

Wednesday we get to go buy what we need for our Halloween Costumes.

We have a Halloween Party on Friday.

We get to give out candy on Saturday.

I'm pretty sure I'm excited.

This is what it's all about

This weekend included but was not limited to:

Riding tracks at late hours of the night.

Watching Jim Gaffigan and peeing our pants.

Breakfast up the canyon on a perfect fall morning with the inlaws.

Eating Chinese take out with old friends.

Baby Blessing for Brynlee,

and a delicious Halloween Dinner with the inlaws.

I'm pretty sure I love life.

Updates on my life

In case any of you are intersted:

Didn't see baby yesterday because
someone decided they had to HAVE a baby yesterday.
So rude, I tell you.

We're going to Jim Gaffigan's show tonight,
and I'm giddy. GIDDY!
I think I'm going to cry laughing.
and it's about time to cry about something that actually makes sense.

Tomorrow, we're having International Night.
I don't know if I've told you, but I love it.
Mostly because it includes eating stuff;
usually international candy.

Real Salt Lake Game

We spent a lovely Saturday night at the Real Salt Lake game.

It was perfect outside and the company was wonderful.

An hour and a half (and one large churro) later,

I had no idea what had happened during the game,

but I enjoyed on much people-watching and daydreaming.

I'm going to miss summer nights.

Cirque Du Soleil

These are the best pictures I could get,

considering cameras were completely prohibited.

So if I go to jail, I at least wanted to give you a look.

It was so entertaining and amazing.

There are some really talented people running that show.

If you get a chance to go, do it.

You won't regret it.

Get a half order of cheese fries at training table before the show

and share them with husband.

or just pretend to like I do and only let him have a handful.

I've never had such amazing fry sauce.

P.S. Can I tell you how much I love glasses boy?

He only brings them out once in a while but when they comes out,

I want to kiss him. all. the. time.

And that's that.

I am having the blues today.
This week has been a little hard.
Sometimes life gets to be a little too much.
So I spend my days doing only the necessary.

wake up.
work.
make dinner.
eat.
sleep. repeat.

But tomorrow we're going to Lagoon.
At which time, blues better be gone.
Because they sell FUNNEL CAKES.
and it's a know fact that funnel cakes make people happy.

Look it up- It's in the dictionary.

Dear Husband,

I bought you tickets to this for your birthday

and as you already know,

I suck at surprises almost as much as you do.

You guessed it a day early.

I'm excited for next week.

Can we have Cafe Rio that night too?

We try to always be busy ... BUSY having fun!

This weekend we celebrated hubs birthday

by eating Brazilian cuisine,

tubing at the lake all day,

setting off fireworks with friends,

and spending time with our family.

Really, couldn't have asked for anything else...

It's our 4th birthday celebration together and

it only keeps getting better and better!

Here's to 100 more.

*** You might have noticed that we ended up not going on our hike... just for the record, it wasnt my fault. James has had a hurt tendon in his leg for months and it only kept getting worse and worse. Result? They banned us from going until next year,(Did I really get that lucky?) as long as James leg works by then.***

I forgot to tell you about this weekend.

On Friday night we spontaneously decided to do a hike up in the Avenues.

IN THE DARK.

with no flashlights.

To a so called old CREMATION tower.

Did I mention I had heels on?

Or did I just tell you I got two blisters?

we were PERSUADED against our better judgement.

But the view was beautiful.

And so was the company.

Movies are always better when there's eight packs involved.

Friday, I had a girl's night.

My mom and I went to see The Proposal.

We loved it.

But we might have loved Reynolds' abs above all.

Michael Jackson isn't dead in my heart

Today, in honor of MJ's death, I've been listening to all of his greatest hits.

Over and over, and over.

Because sure he had a hefty amount of bad times,

but I'm sure most of us will remember him for his talent

and the good times in our past were his music

was always playing in the background.

RIP, King of Pop.

Today starts Friday Night Flicks and also the best time of summer.

We have been going on Fridays forthe last 3 years and have loved it.

It's a way to have dates on a really small budget while still having a really good time.

Just bring along some blankets, big pillows and maybe even a Little Ceasar's pizza and you're set!
